So I just joined the new (at least to me) Triberr, a social networking site all about blogs! Bloggers create a free account and connect with other bloggers who write about similar things that you do on your blog. It's all about creating a "tribe" (and joining other tribes) where each member contributes and advertises for the other. It's really interesting and looks like it could really benefit every blogger out there.
I find it very interesting. What do you think? Is it worth the time it costs to work with? Or do you think connecting with other bloggers who will help grow your blog isn't worth the time you invest in it?
Love to hear your comments and anything you've heard on the grapevine about this interesting new tool for us bloggers! Have a great day, everyone, thanks so much for all your support, and happy writing!
P.S. Click HERE if you wish to check out Triberr (or even join) for yourself!
It is a good idea, but I've had bad experiences personally with things like this and I'm not really in the market to do it again.
ReplyDeleteReally? What kind of bad experience?
DeleteI think it sounds like a really good idea, too. But I'm a little scared of this bone system. People keep talking about pulling out their credit cards and BUYING bones so they can do stuff on this site. Other than that, I'm one happy customer.
So far, anyway.
But I'd love to hear your experience with something like that. Did someone rip you off or something?
Thanks for commenting and checking out my blog! Hope you're day is going well!
I love Triberr and have seen my blog go from 450 page hits per day to 900 page hits per day in less than six month. My tribes reach is 13,000 and that exposure has really been helping me out (along with Stumble Upon). Bones aren't absolutely necessary. You can randomly earn free bones by giving other people Karma/thumbs up. You actually don't have to make a purchase in order to benefit and enjoy Triberr.
ReplyDeleteIf you're looking for another tribe, then let me know! ;)
I most definitely am looking for a tribe! I'd love to join, if you'd have me.
DeleteThank you so much for adding more information about Triberr, as well as the great recommendation. So, if I'm consistent with my work on the posts and such, I'll earn enough bones to steadily grow my network, even if it isn't all at once? I really appreciate you clearing that point up.
Stumble Upon? Oh, great. Another social media site I know nothing about. Well, I guess you learn new things every day...and this is an extra-special day where I learn a whole bunch of new things all at once!
Thank you so much for the comment, and taking the time to check out my blog. I'll have to stop by yours and take a look around, myself!
Stumbleupon is both a blessing and a curse. It will get you more page views (YAY!) but if you do any type of analytics, it'll mess up your bounce rate (boo) and thus potentially hurt your page rank.
DeleteI use it. I like it. But I try to use it sparingly...
I sent an invite, so we'd love to have you! It may take a few to build up the Bones in Triberr, but it will happen.
ReplyDeleteStumbleUpon has a little learning curve, but it can really help with exposure.
I joined StumbleUpon and am going to work on both it and Triberr from now on! Thanks so much for the invaluable advice. I really appreciate all your help.
DeleteIt works, but it doesn't, but it does. I use Triberr as yet another networking tool, and don't depend on it for traffic.
ReplyDeleteIt's a great way to meet new people/bloggers... after all, we're in the same tribe now, and we just met. HI!!!!!
I've never actually heard of Triberr before! Maybe I'll check it out some time :)
ReplyDeleteYou definitely should check it out! I find it interesting and fun, plus it's a great promotion tool. And it really connects you with other people with similar interests as yourself (blogging, for one, and anything else you want to screen for), something I think is invaluable. Thanks, as always, for commenting. You're always a welcome sight on my comments page, Hazel!
DeleteHope you're having a great day!
I joined Triberr a few months ago and I think it's a great way to connect bloggers. I've found a bunch of cool new blogs to follow using Triberr, and I've also seen an increase in new visitors to my blog because of it. I hope you like it.
ReplyDeleteCheers :)
I love it already. I haven't had a chance to really enjoy it yet, because I've been so sick, but I can tell it's going to be a fun means of getting my blog out there and discovering new blogs to visit and enjoy. Thanks so much for visiting my blog today and I hope you're having a great day!
DeleteKyla,
ReplyDeleteI've been on Triberr for a month - I've had more page views in that month than I had in the previous 11. If you'd like to add a tribe membership to your Triberr profile, we would love to have you in Writers and Readers.
Great post - I'll see you at a bonfire.
Yours to count on,
Bert
I'd love to join your group! How do I get invited into your group?
DeleteSorry I've been gone so long. I've been sick as can be, but I'm still living and I would truly love to come back to my blog and to Triberr! Thank so much for the great comment and everything! Hope you've had a great few weeks!
